The incumbent is accountable for completing clearly defined assignments to support continuous operations, operating discipline, and the tactical implementation of process safety management. In other words, this individual works as an investigator and consultant for the Process Area Supervisor and Production Department to fully realize the potential of both our human and capital resources through process safety management and operational discipline. Consult upon dispersion process effectivity, efficiency, and safety in the following areas:
Building 1 - Basketmill, two waterbase sandmills, Hockmeyer mixer, Lightnin' mixer, six 500-3000 gallon mix tanks, blend operations, and the packaging station. Building 5 - Two Kady mills, a vertical sandmill, a horizontal sandmill, two Hockmeyer mixers, a Myers mixer, 4 Lightnin' mixers, 5 250-2000 gallon mix tanks, and blend operations. Building 8 Chemlok - Basketmill, sandmill, 1000 gallon dispersion tank, 4 2300 gallon mix tanks, rubber granulator, and packaging station. Building 8 Structural - T-140 mixer, T-1000 tri-blade mixer, TS-1001 tri-blade mixer, TS-700 tri-blade mixer, PD-300 tri-blade, PD-500 tri-blade mixer, PD-10 tri-blade mixer, Hockmeyer mixer, and blend operations. Building 16 - Pack-to-Order operations and blend operations. Complete and document project goals detailed by Dispersions Area Supervisor. Provide routine updates on in-process and upcoming projects to supervision and management. Support daily performance through effective data collection, analysis, and problem resolution. Understand, evaluate, correct and clarify process guidelines and manufacturing instructions in support of operator success. Maintain processes to support employee adherence to operational discipline and process safety management systems. Special priority will be given to MOC's, Safe Work permits, and logbook documentation. Coordinate with maintenance to schedule preventative maintenance, equipment upgrades, and non-urgent part replacement. Participate in Continuous Improvement projects along with actively promoting and implementing Lean and Pull Manufacturing techniques, assuming a leadership role as directed. Participate in Dispersion and Industrial Adhesive High Performance Teams, actively supporting the completion of team goals across all shifts, assuming a leadership role as directed. Work with Quality Engineers to correct discrepancies captured by the notification process. Present valuable process information to operators in clear, understandable terms to support process safety guidelines. Stand (up to 100% of the time), bend 90 degrees (up to 90% of the time), walk (up to 75% of the time), push/pull (up to 75% of the time), lift (up to 50% of the time), and climb stairs (up to 25% of the time). Carry up to 55 pounds (up to 25% of the time). Work in all weather conditions. WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIRED Five
years of experience in chemical manufacturing industry. Ability to operate, troubleshoot, and supervise maintenance on dispersion equipment listed above. EDUCATION REQUIRED Degree in Chemical Engineering or a related technical field. CERTIFICATIONS HAZMAT Technician
Salary Range:
$80K -- $100K
Minimum Qualification
