Applications Engineer
Job Description Job Description We are seeking an Applications Engineer to become an integral part of our team! You will be responsible for providing technical services in conjunction with sales and marketing activities, product development and the product application engineering information to customers.
Responsibilities:
Develops and conducts product training programs on the application of all products.
Provides technical services, both written and verbal to inform customers of the new improvements and developments of products.
Confers with all responsible persons of other departments to assist for the quality assurance position and to discuss new specifications required by customers.
Investigates customer complaints regarding quality.
Analyzes and informs concerned personnel of production, quality assurance and sales of status and disposition of customer complaints and claims.
Communicates with customers either by telephone or on site visits to help them understand how to use the product properly.
Provides the product testings both in house and at customer locations.
Prepares and submits a trip report on communications and application services provided to individual customers and sales representatives.
Each Applications Engineer is responsible for contributing information for the creation of a monthly technical bulletin on new or existing products for field release.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree from college or university.
Experience with metal cutting and/or machine operation is desirable.
Applied computer knowledge and blueprint reading required.
Ability to calculate figures and mathematical functions such as proportions, percentages, area, circumference, and volume.
Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra, geometry, and calculus.
Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
Deadline and detail-oriented.
Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
Must have a valid driver's license.
